The difference between a integrated lesson and a lesson that's tacked on is a integrated lesson actually works technology in the lesson and can teach another subject at the same time. A integrated lesson will be well planned out and organized. It will also have a assessment to go along with the lesson. A example of a technology integrated lesson would be teaching children about a certain content and then teaching them how to construct a concept map about the content. This teaches them about a certain subject and then teaches them something about technology to go with it. a technology assignment that is just tacked onto a lesson would be poorly planned and not well organized the teaches would have most likely just thrown in technology into the lesson.

4. What role does technology play in the context of learning 21st century skills and content (chap. 2)?
Technology plays a huge role in the 21st century and the skills that are needed to live in this time period. Any job out there calls for a literacy in technology. There is no way you can get around technology in this day and age. Technology is a way that we communicate now. Technology is how we do our research. Each grade has performance indicators that they must know in technology before going on to the next grade. We teach and learn with technology. Technology is even involved in the "No Child Left Behind " act. This says that they will improve student academic achievement through technology. A few things that technology helps us learn is strenghten leadership skills, innovative budgeting, improve teacher training, and integrate data systems. There are six key elements that technology helps teach in 21st century skills they are as follows: Emphasize core subjects, emphasize ,learning skills, use twenty-first-century tools to develop learning skills, teach and learn in a twenty first century context, teach and learn in a twenty first century content, and use twenty first century assessments that measure twenty first century skills. Technology changes the ways that we do research now. It has opened many doors for researchers and has given them a new way of learning theory and practice. Technology has also changed the classroom. Teachers who use technology are teaching the kids how to use and how to apply technology to their everyday lives. Technology has had a huge effect on how students learn and has improved learning a tremendous amount.
